500mm wide Roadtape was used by Downer on road widening works during 2017 thoughout some 10km of the Bruce Hwy Upgrade. Roadtape comprises a self-adhesive bitumen tape with a non-woven geotextile backing and is used to bridge the construction joint providing waterproofing and reflective crack control.
Project Engineer Boris Kimmel commented that Roadtape performed well, meet all technical requirements and speed of delivery was always timely. Boris recommended Southern Geosynthetics as the pre-eminent bitumen tape supplier in Queensland.
