DUX 600c geotextile helps stabilise foreshore

Over time coastal erosion had cut some 100m into the Port Fairy foreshore exposing an old landfill. As a stop-gap effort to combat the erosion Council approved the construction of a $1.1M rock rip-rap seawall. Over the last few seasons 15,000sqm of DUX 600c geotextile has been installed beneath large marine beaching by specialist  contractor Earth and Water Technologies.

DUX 600c is a heavy-weight 600gsm non-woven staple-fibre polypropylene geotextile. The high robustness, or “G” rating over 10,000, provides enormous strength and the staple-fibre structure  ensures extremely high abrasion resistance, to resist wave action, making DUX 600c the ideal choice for all marine seawall applications.
